Lindsay is the owner and director of Boon Consulting and the registered plan manager. Her path to working in the NDIS plan management and support coordination space has been unconventional and mostly by being in the right place, at the right time, with the right people. This means she understands the importance of connection and building support networks. Working to support people with disabilities is something that Lindsay finds immense joy and meaning in.
Lindsay worked in private industry and federal government departments in her early career, developing her skills in office management, business process design, reporting, and human resources. In 2012, Lindsay began Boon Consulting, originally providing bookkeeping and administration consultancy support to small businesses in the Canberra region and eventually expanded to providing remote services to businesses all over Australia.
In 2019 Lindsay registered as an NDIS Plan Manager to provide assistance to families who were struggling to manage all the aspects of supporting their children and their disability needs. Since then, Lindsay has helped many local and interstate families navigate the NDIS and has been able to develop an excellent understanding of the NDIS, both as a provider and a participant. This has given her the opportunity to genuinely understand the issues her clients face. Lindsay also worked as disability support worker, and support coordinator, while also continuing her bookkeeping and administration business. In 2021, Lindsay began focusing more on the NDIS side of her work, eventually ceasing the bookkeeping arm of Boon Consulting in 2022.
Now, Lindsay manages the plan management services Boon provides to NDIS participants around Australia. She also provides oversight and administrative support to Tania and her clinical supervision services. Lindsay likes to stay up to date with the Government's NDIS Reform Initiatives, provides ongoing oversight, advice and support to the her team, as well as supporting her own clients, so that we can all get the support we need to live our lives with dignity and build a secure future.
Joining the team in late 2023, Tania brings a wealth of experience to the Boon team, adding to the diversity of skills we can access. Tania has over 15 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse where she has gained significant experience, including:
Tania is offering her skills and training in clinical supervision to support all those who work in the disability field to focus on providing best practice supports and to support NDIS providers to improve the quality and standard of service they offer to their clients. Tania’s medical background means that she is also uniquely placed to support allied health professionals, as well as intermediaries, support workers, and aged care and residential care workers.
Tania’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Certificate in Critical Care, University-based qualification in Mentorship, and she is a fully qualified Clinical Supervisor. Tania’s love of learning, combined with her love of helping people in general makes her an excellent and valuable addition to the Boon Team.
Danni began with Boon Plan Management in September 2023 and is currently training to become a plan manager. Danni has spent most of her career in Customer Service roles, including over 14 years with RACQ. She has a wealth of experience in anticipating and meeting client needs and takes great pride in her work. Danni has an eye for detail and gets great satisfaction from helping others to progress towards their goals. She also has personal experience supporting people with disabilities, and professionally as a support worker, and recognises the difference the right support can make.
Currently, Danni is busy learning all she needs to know about the NDIS and the Pricing Arrangements and is thoroughly enjoying the challenges that this presents. Danni is excited to begin this new chapter in her career, and Lindsay and the team are appreciative of the value she adds to the work that we do. Danni has also recently taken over the administration support function, supporting the whole team, while actively looking at ways to improve our efficiency and responsiveness to our clients and their wider support network.
Danni is located in Southeast Queensland, and when she has finished her training and she has gained her formal qualifications, Danni will be supporting Lindsay to expand our plan management services and ensuring that we are able to maintain the level of personalised service that our clients have come to rely on and that set us apart from others.
